The new Revised PAPERBACK EDITION of my book "Look Over My Shoulder Vol One Revised, Sheffield, Derbyshire & the Yorkshire Coast" 112 pages with 14 new paintings is now available on line: www.brynhughes.co.uk/book-look-over-my-shoulder
This new, paperback edition, is a revised pressing based on last years successful hardback book; with an additional 14 new, previously unpublished, paintings.
This beautiful book will make a wonderful gift for anyone who loves architecture, art and the City of Sheffield, the Peak District and trips to the Yorkshire coast.
Over the years, Bryn had often been asked if he had a book; in response, he published his first one in the autumn of 2018. It was a special, limited edition, hardback book with only 300 copies printed, hand-numbered and signed. It was a great success selling out just after Christmas 2019.
Based on the popularity of his first book, we are now pleased to announce Bryn has just published a revised, paperback, edition. You can buy it exclusively online from this website (BUY NOW), to avoid disappoint order your copy today.

Here is the list of my paintings for the "Ten Artists Exhibition" at Baslow Village Hall tomorrow and Sunday. The weather forecast is good for tomorrow and not bad on Sunday - come and see us, the other 9 Artists are much better than me.
Ready! My 10 paintings for the "Ten Artists Exhibition" at Baslow Village Hall this coming weekend. Just have to get together all the prints and cards I've produced.... then relax (until Saturday)
This is my painting of a view to the north east from my studio/workroom rooflight in Ringinglow Village with a smidgen of artistic license - a doctored version again to protect the innocent! The pristine version of this painting will be at the "10 Artists Exhibition" (and 10 paintings by each artist) at Baslow Village Hall on Saturday & Sunday 22nd & 23rd October. This is my 10th and final painting for the Exhibition. It's Mayfield Valley in south west of our great city of Sheffield. The building in the centre of the painting covered with red Virginia creeper is Fulwood Hall.
Another for the Exhibition at Baslow on 22nd & 23rd October. This one's from my Sheffield Canal Basin Series - it's inspired by the Terminal Warehouse and colourful canal boats ie. it's completely made up!
A panorama from above Sheffield Railway Station. This version has been doctored to protect the innocent again! The pristine version will be at the "10 Artists & 10 Paintings Exhibition" at Baslow on Saturday & Sunday 22nd & 23rd October
Back to watercolours again. View from my north facing roof-light across the Mayfield Valley towards the old Lodge Moor Hospital clock tower. It has snowed today but not as much as shown in the painting. Edges faded away again.
Spent most of the last 4 days printing, folding and packing cards into envelopes & into poly bags. I'm not complaining It's the 4th repeat order since my first order in January for another 432 cards for the Millennium Gallery Shop in Sheffield. It's next to the BBC TV "outside" studio for the World Snooker Championship 2016 in the Winter Garden. There are 216 cards in the attached photo - I delivered a previous 216 package on Thursday! Perhaps I can get back to actually painting tomorrow? Hopefully a little acrylic?
Posted the first 100 prints (of 500) to ARTiMANS in Soller Mallorca this morning, called into the Millenium Gallery Shop and discovered my Sheffield Prints and Cards are now on display... nice sunny day, some free time - went on a short cicular walk from home, down into Porter Brook Valley, up through the beech woods, along Fulwood Lane, looked down on Sheffield City 5 miles below, past the Alpaca Farm and back to the Village - Home Sweet Home!

This is me explaining how I put together my "Mediterranean acrylic/collage" at our Exhibition at Gallery 35, Chapel Walk, Sheffield ending in 2 days time on Sunday 16th August. The other side of this painting in the window facing the Walk is my "Impression of Barkers Pool in Sheffield". Come and have a look.
My impression of Barker's Pool Sheffield. It's for our (Heeley Art Club) Exhibition at Gallery 35, Chapel Walk, Sheffield 11th-16th August - come along! While I was finishing this one our younger daughter Sian was producing our next generation - our next prince "Rory". It wasn't easy but both are well! Congratulations to her and Andrew. Our Rory was born in time for the kick off of the new football (soccer in the USA) season at 2.11pm. Love you all 3. x
Sheffield on the hill - looking up Pond Hill..... stage 3 finished! Can't decide whether or not to add it to my display in the "10 artists and 10 paintings" at Baslow on 24 & 25 October. In the meantime I must do some house maintenance, painting and decorating!
